Education Programs at Meadows Health

For your safety during these uncertain times, some face-to-face classes and support groups may be cancelled or adapted to follow social distancing guidelines. In some cases, we may offer virtual alternatives.

Current Health Classes

Diabetes Education

If you have diabetes, you’re not alone. Nearly 30 million people in the United States have diabetes with Type 2, or insulin resistant, being the most common.

If you have diabetes or have been recently diagnosed, it’s important to get routine treatment. Diabetes increases the risk of heart disease and stroke and, if left untreated, can lead to complications such as blindness, kidney disease or amputations of the foot or leg.

At Meadows Health, we’re here to help. We offer group and private educational classes specifically designed for those with diabetes. Participants learn about healthy eating, how to monitor glucose levels and avoid complications, and other important topics for living a longer, healthier life.

This service is covered by Medicare and most private health insurance.
