“What makes Meadows Health special? It’s the commitment and the drive and the willingness of our people who have a passion for their patients and for medicine.” – Alan Kent, CEO
Anyone who has visited Meadows Wellness Center has likely met Diane Williams. That’s because she and fellow co-worker Megan Mancio are the first people they see when they walk in the front door.
Diane has worked at Meadows since October 2010 as Office Assistant/PT Tech in the Outpatient Physical Therapy Department at the Wellness Center. Her duties include scheduling patients for initial evaluation for physical, occupational, and speech therapy, creating the patient chart for the treating therapist, and scheduling follow up appointments. In addition to her Therapy duties, she also gives directions and answers questions about other areas of the Wellness Center including Cardiology, Fitness Center, and Women’s Center.
When asked what she liked best about her job, she said it was meeting different people. “I like seeing the progress that patients make from their first visit to their last, the improvements they’ve made and the obstacles they’ve overcome,” she said. “Working with and getting to know them is interesting because of their different personalities.”
When it comes to her coworkers, Diane says the department works as a team to put patients first. “Each person works together as a team to make sure the department runs smoothly and patients are seen in a timely manner and progress to their fullest potential,” she said. “Everyone is easy to get along with, and have become good friends as well as co-workers.”
